NCA HIMSS – Cybersecurity Focuses in Federal Health IT | HIMSS

Join the HIMSS National Capital Area (NCA) chapter for our February Program! This month we will be discussing cybersecurity, specifically how it relates to heath IT in federal agencies. The healthcare industry as a whole is vulnerable to cybersecurity attacks, but especially in the public sector. As the focus of healthcare becomes increasingly digital, patient safety and care are at high risk for cybersecurity threats.
Speakers from various federal agencies will discuss their practices in prioritizing cybersecurity, specific points of focus, and plans forward.
